Philly Bored-er Patrol is a boredom suppressant for the financially challenged New Jersey college student. Readers should be adventurous, open minded and willing to explore the New Jersey and Philadelphia area. Hey! My name is Sarah Arot and I’m a journalism student at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. I’m really interested in getting into travel writing. My favorite magazines include Departures, National Geographic and Budget Travel. My ideal profession would be to travel the world, write about what I see and experience and get paid for it! I really got interested in travel writing when I was a senior in high school. I was chosen from my concert band to go with my school choir to perform for the Pope at The Vatican. When I arrived home, I was contacted by The Catholic Star Herald to write about my experience. And so it all began. When I’m not caught daydreaming about far away lands and exotic foods and people, I can usually be found playing tennis, listening to and playing music, brushing up on my cooking techniques or spending time with friends and family.
The photo in my header was taken by me, of the main drag in Haddonfield, NJ.
